Rakshabandhan is a traditional and very emotional festival in India. Rani Karnavati sent a rakhi to Mughal Emperor Humayun, calling him her brother and asking for help and that etched her name in Indian folklore.

Raksha Bandhan translates to, “the bond of protection, obligation, or care” in Sanskrit. Thus, a sister ties a rakhi on her brother’s wrist to protect them against evil influences and pray for their long life and happiness.
