Method to Prepare:
For Pressure Cooker:
- Rinse the rice well under running water.
- Now, place one cup of washed rice and two cups of water in the cooker’s pan.
- Keep the weight on, cover the pressure cooker.
- Cook the rice in the pressure cooker on a medium-high flame, and after the first whistle, turn the flame to low. Then, simmer the Rice for another 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, turn the flame off and let the pressure release naturally.

- Use running water to rinse the rice and let it soak in water for about 15 minutes.
- Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan that has a tight-fitting lid. Pour 2 cups of water and add washed rice and salt.

- As the water begins to boil, turn the flame to low, cover the pan with a lid and let the Rice simmer for 15 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
- Now, turn off the flame and let it rest covered for another 12 minutes.
- Before serving, fluff the rice with the help of a fork.
- You will need to test your ration based on several things, such as the temperature, the pot you use, and rice quality.
- Drizzle some lemon juice as it will keep the rice grains from getting soggy.
- You can add more flavors to your Rice by using stock-vegetable or chicken stock instead of water.
