The Best French Potato Dish You’ll Ever Try!

If you can use full-fat cream, then it is best as it will give you the texture you desire for this dish, and avoid using only milk for this recipe. Use melting cheeses like mozzarella to get that pizza texture, but don’t forget to sprinkle a pinch of salt on it if you use mozzarella.

To make the perfect potato dauphinoise (Doe-Pheen-Nowaaz), par-cook the potatoes until they’re fork-tender. It will take about 5 to 7 minutes or so. Before serving, ensure that you wait for about 15 minutes. It will become soupy if you dig in while the dish is hot.

Another tip to make this potato starter recipe is to use enough salt to balance the rich and creamy flavours of the dish. So, let’s see how you can make this easy potato starter recipe at home!
