  • 1/4 cup green onions thinly sliced
  • One tablespoon soy sauce
  • One teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • One teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
  • One teaspoon minced garlic
  • 12-ounce package square wonton wrappers

Method to Prepare

  • Take a large bowl and mix pork, mushrooms, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, pepper, ginger, and salt. Mix them all thoroughly.
  • Place one wonton wrapper on a flat surface and keep the other wonton wrappers covered. This will prevent drying out.
  • Then, brush the two of the farthest edges from you with water.
  • Fill the wonton wrapper with ¾ teaspoon of pork mixture. Put the mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
  • Fold it over into a triangle shape by bringing two bottom corners together. This will make a purse-like shape.
  • You can use a bit of water as glue to stick the bottom corners together.
  • Follow this same process until your mixture is finished.
  • Meanwhile, take a large deep pot and heat oil to 375 degrees F.
  • Carefully put 8 to 10 wontons at a time. Fry them for about 5 minutes until they are golden brown.
  • Once fried, place them on paper towels to remove the excessive oil and fry the remaining wontons.
