Method to Prepare:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Take 2 8-inch cake tins; grease them with butter and place baking or parchment paper.
  • Now, take a medium saucepan and add butter, white chocolate, powdered sugar, and milk in it. Place this saucepan on medium heat and stir the ingredients constantly until you get a smooth mixture and sugar dissolves completely. Now, keep the saucepan aside and let the mixture cool.
  • Once it is cooled, add eggs and vanilla extract in a white chocolate mixture and mix everything gently. Next, add the plain flour and baking powder and stir to combine all perfectly. No worries, if you there are some lumps in the mixture.
  • In the next step, pour this mixture into the cake tins by dividing them into equal quantities. Place these tins in the oven for around 30-35 minutes. Make sure that if you insert a skewer in the cake, it should come out clean. Now, transfer both cakes to a wire rack to let them cool.

Now, you have to prepare the white chocolate buttercream.

  • Take a large bowl, add butter in it, and beat it using an electric mixer until it turns pale and creamy.
  • Now, take a small microwave-proof bowl and add white chocolate. Heat it in a microwave until it melts. Keep the bowl aside.
  • Now, add vanilla extract, half of the powdered sugar, and 1 tablespoon of milk to the butter bowl and combine all. After this, you can add the remaining sugar and mix until it combines well in the mixture.
  • Next, add the melted chocolate in the mixture and beat until this melted chocolate mix completely with other ingredients. If you feel that this buttercream or frosting is too thick, you can add one tablespoon of milk in it.

Now, make a chocolate buttercream.

  • Take a large bowl, add butter in it, and beat the butter using an electric mixer until it turns pale and creamy.
  • Now, take a small microwave-proof bowl and add the dark chocolate. Heat it in a microwave until it melts, for nearly 20 seconds. Keep the bowl aside.
  • Next, you have to add 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk to the butter bowl and mix them well. Now, add the remaining sugar and again beat the mixture so that sugar gets mixed properly. If the mixture is thick, you can add the remaining milk to make a smooth batter.

Once you prepare white chocolate frosting and chocolate frosting, follow these steps.

  • Take one cake layer on the cake stand and spread the white chocolate buttercream on the top of the cake evenly.
  • Now, place the second cake over the layer of the white chocolate buttercream. Spread this white chocolate buttercream on the top of this second cake layer as well as on the sides of the cake. Use a cake scraper to smooth the frosting all around the cake.
  • Take a piping bag and add chocolate buttercream in it. Make sure that this pipe must have a large round tip.
  • Now, pipe this frosting all around the top edge of the cake and place Cadbury top deck chocolates to decorate the cake.
