Quick Stats

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Servings: 4 serves

Ingredients

  • 2 lb salmon fillets
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • One garlic clove grated or pressed
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp dried dill
  • 3 tbsp butter melted

Method to Prepare

  • First, take a small bowl and combine mayo, sour cream, lemon juice, and garlic. Set aside.
  • Now, season both the sides of the fillets with some salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the seasoned fish to a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil.
  • Now, spread the mayonnaise mixture on top of each salmon fillet.
  • Take a separate bowl and combine panko bread crust, parmesan, dried dill, and melted butter.
  • Now, spread the prepared panko crumbs on each salmon fillet evenly.
  • Bake them at 400F for 20 minutes.
  • Bake as per the thickness of the fillet.
  • Serve it hot and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

  • You can use a whole salmon fillet instead of small fillet cuts. It will lead to a longer baking time.
  • You can use plain bread crumbs as a substitute for panko bread crumbs.
  • Let the salmon come to room temperature because it may take longer to bake if the salmon is cold out of the fridge.
  • The best way to check if the salmon is done or not is to insert an instant-read thermometer into the fish. 145 degrees F is the ideal temperature reading for salmon.
  • The mayonnaise mixture can be slathered for hours before topping with the crust and baking.
