Ingredients 

For Marinade:

  • 3/4 cup Full-fat Greek yogurt
  • Four cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • 2 lb Chicken thighs

For Butter Chicken Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 large onion (sliced thinly)
  • Two cloves Garlic (minced)
  • One 29-oz can of Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • 3/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • Cilantro, for garnishing
  • 1 tsp Chili powder

Method to Prepare 

  • Take a large bowl and add all the marinade ingredients to it. 
  • Then, add the chicken thighs, stir well to coat, and cover it with plastic wrap. Slide it into the fridge and let it chill for at least an hour or so. 
  • Now, heat a large saute pan on a medium flame and melt butter in it. 
  • Then, add sliced onions and saute for around 10 minutes until they are soft and browned. 
  • Now, add the minced garlic, saute it for around 20 seconds. 
  • Then, pour the tomato sauce, heavy cream, and sprinkle garam masala, cumin, ground ginger, chili powder, and sea salt. 
  • Take the chicken out from the fridge and cut them into bite-size pieces with the help of kitchen shears. Don’t wipe the marinade from the chicken.
