  • Half cup of whole milk
  • 1 cup of minced onion
  • Half cup of minced celery
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • One-fourth cup of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh thyme
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of kosher salt

  • Then, you have to make the meatloaf. For this, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Take a small bowl and fresh bread and milk in it. Let them sit for 5-6 minutes.
  • Then, take another large bowl and add minced onion, celery, garlic, parsley, dry mustard, fresh thyme, eggs, kosher salt, and ground black pepper in it. Now, add bread and milk mixture, ground beef, ground pork, ground veal, and one-third cup of ketchup glaze. Toss everything gently while maintaining their shapes with your hands. Make sure to get the soft mixture and keep a bowl aside.
  • Now, it’s time to bake the meatloaf. Take a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.
  • Take a saucepan and add the meat mixture to it. Press it to make a loaf with your desired thickness. Then, coat this loaf with one-third cup of the ketchup glaze. 
  • Take a small bowl and add 2 tablespoons of ketchup glaze and onion rings in it. Now, spread these onions over the meatloaf.
  • Place thyme springs over the onion rings and then the bacon slices over it.
  • Place this saucepan on the center rack of the oven and bake it for 15-17 minutes.
  • Reduce the temperature of the oven to 350 degrees F and bake it for another 50 minutes.
