For the Filling 

  • 2 potato/aloo (boiled & mashed)
  • 1 chili (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)
  • ¼ tsp pepper (crushed)
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • ¼ cumin powder/jeera powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 slices of bread (white/brown)
  • 10 cubes of cheese (cheddar/mozzarella)
  • 1 cup corn flakes (crushed)

For Corn Flour Batter 

  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp maida/plain flour
  • ¼ tsp pepper (crushed)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup water

Method to Prepare 

  • Firstly, take a large mixing bowl. 
    • Add 2 boiled potatoes. 
    • Then, add 1 chili, 1/2 tsp ginger paste, and 2 tbsp coriander. 
    • Add 1/4 tsp pepper, 1 tsp mixed herbs, 1/4 cumin powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. 
    • Then, tear 2 slices of bread and add them to the bowl. 
    • Make a soft, non-sticky dough and keep it aside. 
  • Now, let’s make the corn-flour batter. 
    • Add corn flour, all-purpose flour, pepper, salt, and water in a small bowl. 
    • Give it a good mix. Ensure there are no lumps. 
  • Now, pinch a ball-sized aloo mixture and flatten slightly.
    • Place a cube-size cheese in the center. 
    • Seal the ball and form a smooth ball. 
  • Coat these cheese balls with a prepared corn flour mixture. 
    • Roll them in crushed cornflakes. 
  • Fry them in hot oil. Stir occasionally without breaking cheese balls. 
    • Fry until the cheese balls are golden brown and crisp.
