Ingredients 

  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • Three yellow onions sliced
  • One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • One teaspoon cumin powder
  • One teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon homemade garam masala

For Meatballs 

  • 500 g beef mince
  • Two tablespoon onion paste
  • One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • Three tablespoon yogurt
  • One teaspoon garam masala
  • One teaspoon red chili powder
  • One teaspoon coriander powder
  • One teaspoon cumin powder
  • One teaspoon salt
  • Two tablespoons gram flour roasted
  • Two green chilies chopped
  • Two tablespoon coriander chopped

Method to Prepare 

  • Heat a deep bottom pan. Pour oil in it and heat it. Once heated, fry onions until they are golden brown. 
  • Once you achieve the desired color, take them out on a plate. 
  • Now, pour some water and grind the onions to make a smooth paste with the help of a grinder. 
  • Then, take a large mixing bowl and add all the meatball ingredients listed in the section. 
  • Make medium-sized meatballs and keep them aside. 
  • Fry ginger and garlic paste in the same pot. Pour oil if needed. 
  • Then, pour the onion paste, yogurt, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, and turmeric. 
  • Now, cook the spices until the oil separates. 
  • Once the oil is separated, pour two cups of water and bring it to a boil on a medium-high flame. 
  • Decrease the flame and carefully add the kofta. 
  • Cover the pot and cook for around 15 to 20 minutes on low flame. 
  • Do Not use a spoon to mix the meatballs, or they could break! 
  • You can shake your pot twice or thrice to flip them to cook from both sides. 
  • When oil comes on top, turn off the flame, sprinkle homemade garam masala, and garnish it with coriander and green chilies. 
  • Serve it with simple white steamed rice or garlic naan, and enjoy!
